Richard R. (Campi) Campiglia

CAMPIGLIA, Richard R. (Campi) At Samaritan Hospice in Virtua Mount Holly, Richard left this world to be with the Lord on August 30, 2010. Richard celebrated his 70th birthday on August 12 surrounded by family and neighbors. Known as "Campi" or "R Camp", Rich was a true gentleman, kind, thoughtful, patient and had an excellent sense of humor. He touched many with his kind heart and generous spirit and will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. Rich was a 1958 graduate of West Catholic Boys High and then proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from PECO after 35 years of service and was a self-employed contractor until the onset of his illness. Although a resident of Mount Laurel, NJ for the past 17 years, he was born and raised in Philadelphia and also resided in Hilltown, PA and Collingswood, NJ. Rich was predeceased in death by his parents, Anthony and Stella, brothers Anthony and Joseph and his most beloved furry companion Nikki. He will be profoundly missed by his loving wife Kathleen; stepdaughters Kathleen (James) Moreton and Christine Hall; his grandchildren Alicia, Adam, Anthony Moreton and, especially, Amanda Moreton and Carly Smith. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, an extended family of in-laws and many dear friends. You are invited to visit with the family on Thursday from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 10 to 11 AM at The MOUNT LAUREL HOME FOR FUNERALS, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30AM, St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church, 560 Walton Avenue, Mount Laurel. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
